Tottenham will be seeking to overturn recent run of events that has seen them disqualified from two competitions in only a week when they play hosts to an in-form Watford on Hallowed turf – Wembley.

Tottenham

Mauricio Pochettino wouldn’t have foreseen two weeks ago the kind of dilemma that he is in at the moment as the pressure on the team to salvage a good result increases.

In one week the Argentine has had to watch his team lose on penalties to Chelsea in the EFL Cup semis and lose in the same week to Crystal Palace by 2 goals in what was an outright disappointing performance.

Speaking for the manager, he has had to cope without attackers in Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Son Heung-Min. That said, a return of the latter would be a significant boost for the team.

It is however unlikely that the Argentine gaffer would want to risk the fatigued South Korean considering he would have to shoulder some of the goal scoring responsibilities in upcoming matches.

Watford

Javi Garcia has stirred his boys to what should end as an outstanding season for them. Although, the team has never finished in the upper half of the log since they last did in the 1986-1987, they seem on track to achieve that after securing five wins and four draws in 10 matches with their only loss against third-placed Chelsea.

They will face a tough test when they face Lilywhites. You get the feeling that a win for them would stir up a serious turnaround of events at the Vicarage road. Worthy of note is that they easily saw off  their opponents at the FA Cup despite 11 changes being made before the match.
