2019 Presidential Election: Nigerian Police are physically and emotionally ready

– The NPF has made it known that it is physically and emotionally ready for the 2019 Presidential Election

– It also made it known that crime management strategies are already in place

The Nigerian Police Force NPF in a latest statement has disclosed it readiness and preparation for the 2019 Presidential Election.

ACP Frank Mba, the Nigerian Police PRO, during a discussion on situation report and preparation for the 2019 Election on NTA Good Morning Nigeria TV Programme disclosed that the Nigerian Police are physically and emotionally ready for the Presidential election.

He disclosed that adequate security measures have been put in place to prevent infractions during the election.

ACP Frank Mba also noted that crime management strategies are also in place which will help in the detection of crimes among others.

He declared that the Nigerian Police will not allowed any form of impunity and infractions during the election.

The Police PRO disclosed that the one week extension given by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC was used by the Police Force to gather adequate intelligence.

Below is an extract from the statement released by ACP Frank Mba,

We have put in place adequate security measures to prevent infractions in the election and will resort to other crime management strategies which include detection of crime, investigation and diligent prosecution of electoral offenders 
We will not tolerate any form of impunity or infraction in the election, our personnel have been on ground since deployment last week and are physically & emotionally ready, we have also used the one week stay to gather adequate intelligence in the areas deployed, we are ready.”
Nigerians will head to the polling booths for the 2019 rescheduled Presidential Election, which is expected to take place tomorrow.
