2019 Presidential Election: NIS to close all borders on Friday 12pm

According to a new report, the Nigerian Immigration Service NIS has made it known it that all the borders leading into the country will be close ahead of the 2019 Presidential election.
The report made it known that the borders will be closed on Friday at exactly 12 pm.
This latest update was made public by the Nigerian Immigration Service public relations officer, Sunday James, and signed by the Comptroller General of Immigration, Muhammad Babandede.
He made it known that the borders will, however, be opened by Sunday, 12 noon.
According to the statement released by the NIS, it read: ”The federal government of Nigeria has directed that the nation’s land borders be closed from 12noon of Friday the 15th February, 2019 to 12noon of Sunday the 17th February, 2019.
“This is to secure and control movements across the borders within the period of the elections. The public to note and ensure compliance. “
This latest decision taken by the Nigerian Immigration Service NIS will see the borders linking Nigeria and Niger, Nigeria and Chad, and also Nigeria and Cameroon closed during the stipulated hours.
In another report, Nigerians will head to the polls on Saturday where they will vote for their respective candidates, where one candidate will emerge and lead the country for another four years.
