8-Year-Old Boy Donates Savings To Fight COVID-19 In Kwara State

An eight-year-old boy, Akinduyo Oluwapamilerinayo, on the 2nd of April donated his N1,120 savings to the Kwara State Technical Committee on COVID-19.

Spokesman of the Technical Committee on COVID-19, Rafiu Ajakaye, confirmed that the pupil made a donation to the state government via a phone call with The PUNCH.

He donated his savings of N1,120 to the state government’s anti-COVID-19 campaign. He was brought here by his mother. He told his parents that he wanted to donate and they supported him. He even submitted a handwritten letter alongside his donation,” Ajakaiye told The PUNCH.

Making the donation to the Chairman of the Technical Committee, Mr. Kayode Alabi, Oluwapamilerinayo was quoted as saying that his decision to donate his money was to assist in curbing the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
