8th Assembly Valedictory Speech: Melaye calls Saraki the irremovable Senate President

– Senator Dino Melaye in his address today called Bukola Saraki the irremovable Senate President

– This came during the Valedictory Speech held for the the outgoing Senators in the Senate

The 8th National Assembly observed her valedictory speech for Outgoing Senators, who were unable to make it back to the Senate, this signifies the winding up of the Assembly.

Sen. Dino Meleye in his speech addressed outgoing Sen. Pres., Bukola Saraki as the irremovable senate president.

He added that many, who worked towards the downfall and removal of the Senate President now call him their mentor.

Senator Dino Melaye also disclosed his saddest day in the National Assembly, he said it was the day Senator Ovie Omo-Agege led thugs to steal the Senate mace, a symbol of unity.

Melaye in his address said, “I thank the Almighty who is the supreme controller of the universe. When canckerworms and caterpillars attacked you, I addressed you as the irremovable Senate President, Bukola Saraki.”

“To my surprise, many of those who orchestrated your downfall and removal have now called you their mentor, only God give and take power.”

“The saddest day of my life was when Senator Ovie Omo-Agege led thugs to steal the Senate mace, a symbol of unity.”-

Another Senator, George Ndume in his address during the valedictory speech stated that the Executive will always show interest in who would become the next Senate President.

He said, “The Executive will always show interest in who become the leader of the National Assembly.”

In another report by iDonsabi, Pres. Muhammadu Buhari met with two top contenders for the Senate Presidency, Sen. Danjuma Goje and Sen. Ahmad Lawan Today.

And it was confirmed that Sen. Danjuma has stepped down for Sen. Ahmad Lawan to carry on with the race.
