Abule Egba Explosion: Vandals Will Be Shown No Mercy, Sanwo-Olu Blows Hot

Lagos Governor, Jide Sanwo-Olu has said that he won’t show any pipeline vandals caught in the illegal act.
He stated this on Monday in reaction to the pipeline explosion in Ekoro, Abule Egba that left at least two people dead.
The governor, who sympathised with the families and businesses affected by the incident commended the Lagos State Emergency Service Agency for a job well done in reducing the impact of the inferno.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the families & businesses affected in the unfortunate incident at Abule Egba. We are thankful for the brave members of LASEMA & our fire service that swung into action working all night to reduce the impact. Pipeline Vandals will be shown no mercy.”
He, therefore, seeks collaboration with residents living close to pipelines on information gathering.
“We must work together to ensure human-made incidents like Abule Egba are avoided. Security and information gathering along volatile corridors will increase, and a stronger synergy with communities must happen. We all have a role to play,” he added.
iDONSABI also gathered that about 20 houses were also affected by the fire.
