AMCON: We Finally Know Why Buba Galadima Has Been Attacking FG – Buhari’s Aide

Lauretta Onochie, a socil media aide of President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the seizure of assets of a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Buba Galadima by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) on Tuesday has shown the reason why he has been criticising the Federal Government.

AMCON took over the business premises and assets of Galdima’s company, Bedko Nigeria Limited.

Galadima who used to a political ally of the president has for years been one of the most vociferous critics of the administration.

He was also a former Director-General of the Nigeria Maritime Agency (NMA) (1996 – 1998), before being appointed the National Secretary of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) formed in the run-up to the 2011 national elections.

He was also one of the nine signatories that signed the merger agreement between some political parties that came together to form the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), which President Buhari used as a platform for his election in 2015.

Since then his relationship with the president has goner soar. AMCON in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday said the Federal High Court in Abuja issued an order for it to take over Gladima’s properties, including his private residence and company, over alleged N900 million indebtedness.

The order followed a ruling in suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1136/2019 against Bedko Nigeria Limited and Mr Galadima, AMCON said.

Reacting to the said court order, Galadima denied knowledge of the allegations of indebtedness against him and his company.

Onochie took to her Twitter page to react to the development: “Breaking News! AMCON has taken possession of Buba Galadima’s House, on the order of an Abuja High Court. Now we know why he’s been attacking the government. When they constantly insult Pres @MBuhari, just know that they are after something or something is after them What a day!.

She also reacted to the seven-year jail term given to Olisa Metuh, a former Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
