Amokachi Elects Ndidi And Osimhen As Super Eagles Best Players

Former Super Eagles star, Daniel Amokachi was full of praise for Nigeria’s Wilfred Ndidi and Victor Osimhen who according to him have been both consistent for club and country

The 47-year-old rated the Leicester midfielder as Lille forward as the best players currently in the Super Eagles squad.

Ndidi has been a consistent performer for Leicester in recent years and can boast of 29 performances this term despite struggling with numerous injuries.

The midfielder helped Foxes to a third poll ace position in the English league standings, just behind Liverpool and Manchester City.

The former Genk midfielder also featured for Super Eagles as clinched their eighth bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Osimhen also has been in stellar form for Lille since his switch from Belgian side, Sporting Charleroi.

The youngster has found the net 18 times and provided six assists in 38 appearances for his Ligue 1 side amid impressive showings.

The 21-year-old found the net three times in Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against the Republic of Benin and Lesotho to lead the Super Eagles to the summit of Group L with six points.

Amokachi who seems to be impressed by the performances of the duo has elected them as the best players in Gernot Rohr’s squad.

“I would pick Ndidi first. The young man has shown tremendous quality for Leicester City and has been consistent,” the 47-year-old said on Brilla FM, per AOI when asked to pick his best Nigerian players.

“He is my first choice. I also would pick Victor Osimhen who plays for Lille in the French league. He has been amazing and was very hot even before the break we are observing now

“He knows how to score and how to play the game and has great speed too.”
