APC not jittery about Atiku’s decision to go to court

– The APC have disclosed that it is not jittery about Atiku Abubakar’s decision to go to court if he is dissatisfied about the election result

Following the decision of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Alh. Atiku Abubakar to head to court to seek redress on the 2019 Presidential election result, the ruling party, All Progressive Congress have disclosed that it is not in jittery about the decision.

This comes after President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC was declared the winner of the 2019 Presidential polls by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, which took place on the 23rd of Feb.

INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu made the announcement on the winner of the polls in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, during a dinner party organized by Pres. Buhari for some of the APC members at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja, disclosed that the Nigerian Constitution and the Election Act have made provision for anyone not satisfied with election result to seek redress in the court of law.

The SGF in his statement said, “We are not jittery at all because the process was open and transparent. It was a credible election and we will continue to savour in the victory but in the process too, we will extend the hand of friendship for the purpose of nation building and reconciliation.

“Our electoral Act and the constitution have both provided a window for whoever is dissatisfied with the process of election to seek redress. That is the path and we will encourage them to go along that path.”

He also assured Nigerians to expect more good works from President Buhari as he begins another four years in office.
