Arsenal Vs Chelsea – EPL January 19 Preview

Arsenal will host Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in a Saturday Clash with the main official as Anthony Taylor. Arsenal will be looking to record a win as a defeat to the London Blues could see them sky dive down the log into sixth-place supposing Manchester United record a win at Old Trafford. Let’s take a look at what we have on our hands here.

Arsenal

The Gunners will be at home this time where they will be seeking to record a win. A huge source of worry to Arsenal fans is that Unai Emery has confessed that the club can only afford loan signings. In spite of rumours linking Denis Suarez and  James Rodriguez with a move to the Emirates, no concrete deal has been agreed.

Emery’s side has been terrible at the back. Infact, only Fulham have kept fewer clean sheets than the London club. In front of goal, they haven’t been quite creative as well.

The question of Mesut Ozil then comes in. The German has only contributed three goals and two assists since signing a bumper new contract last year making Emery’s decision to drop the midfielder justifiable.

That said, Arsenal have been successful at home lately remaining unbeaten in 10 games there.
