Aubameyang Wins September’s Premier League Player Of The Month Award

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has lifted the Premier League Player of the month award for the month of September, ahead of fellow African, Riyad Mahrez.

The Gabonese won the Premier League’s individual accolade owing to his brilliant performance and outstanding form in the month under preview.

The 30-year-old showed great performances for the Gunners, netting at least a goal in every game he featured.

The Gabon International consistently featured on the scoresheet, taking his tally to seven goals, five of which were scored this month.

His brilliant showing helped the Gunners avoid defeat through the month under review.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang grabbed a brace in the North London club’s 2-2 draw against Watford and was also on the scoresheet against their North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United and newly-promoted Aston Villa.

His impressive performances ensured he was given the nod ahead of Algeria international and Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez.

The forward also beat Leicester City’s Ricardo Pereira, Aston Villa’s John McGinn, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne Tottenham’s Son Heung-min, Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson to the individual accolade.

The forward who is ageing just fine put on his goalscoring boots once more over the International break, scoring the only goal in Gabon’s 1-0 win over Burkina Faso.

Aubameyang will be looking to continue in the light of his fine form when Arsenal take on Sheffield United on October 21.
