Nollywood actor, Banky W who recently delved into politics has called out the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for printing his party’s logo and spelling his name wrongly.
The Nollywood act is running to represent the Eti-Osa at the House of Representatives on the platform of the Modern Democratic Party. He claimed his last name was spelt wrongly on the ballot paper and asked that fans and followers paid attention to the wrong logo while voting.
Banky said that his party had done everything possible and have gone to lengths to rectify the problem but were gutted by the reality that it was impossible to effect any more changes. He therefore urged his fans to take note of the development.
The UpNorth star then shared the logo that had been printed on the ballot paper urging his supporters to take note
He passed the message via his Instagram handle where he said:
“It turns out that the logo that will show for MDP on the Election Day ballot papers is wrong. We have tried every possible option to see if the ballot papers can be represented, but that is unfortunately not possible. So we move on”

Banky W isn’t the first Nollywood act to seek a stake in the Nigerian legislative. Most notable of such Nollywood actors who have gone into politics recently is Desmond Elliot.
Just two years ago, Desmond Elliot, the representative of the All Progressive Congress (APC) defeated his counterpart, Bayo Smith, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party to represent the Surulere constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The silverscreen hunk Elliot celebrating his victory organized a beer shower for his supporters briefly after popping champagne.
Elliot prior to coming into politics claimed that he was only contributing to the Nigerian economy just like he did as an actor and that it was merely another chance to represent Nigeria.
