Barcelona Vs Eibar – Post Match Report

Barcelona thumped Eibar to a 3-0 at the Camp Nou as Lionel Messi becomes the first ever player to record a total number of 400 goals in the LaLiga. This win would see Barca re-open a five point lead over second-placed Athletico Madrid.

Barcelona came off the back of a loss against Levante in the Copa Del Rey. It could conversely be argued that Barcelona only fielded their team B. This time, the match was for the taking as a brace from Luis Suarez and one from Messi proved enough to secure all three points.

Luiz Suarez opened the scoring inside of the first 19 minutes as he placed the ball far beyond the reach of the hands of Eibar goalkeeper, Asier Riesgo. It was however Phillipe Coutinho who wrought the magic. After some clean fluid passing from Barcelona, the Brazilian intelligently slotted the ball through for the Uruguayan. Suarez made no mistake about it. There was no way he could have missed that.
