Bayern Munich Opt Out Of Signing James Rodriguez On Permanent Basis

James Rodriguez will leave German giants, Bayern Munich ahead of next season after the Bundesliga winners decided against signing him from Real Madrid on a permanent basis according to a report by Kicker Magazine.

The 27 year old joined Bayern on loan in 2017 and the Bavarians of have the option to sign him permanently for 42 million euros ($46.9m) when the two-year deal expires on the 30th of June.

Even still, Bayern are unwilling to trigger the option-to-buy in Rodriguez’ contract.

“The Bayern bosses have agreed internally not to sign James,” reports Kicker Magazine.

Bayern President, Uli Hoeness has stated that the final decision on James future rests on the shoulders of Bayern gaffer, Niko Kovac.

The Colombian has notched 14 goals in 43 appearances for Bayern Munich but has endured a difficult relationship with present Bayern boss, Niko Kovac.

With a return to Spanish giants, Real Madrid highly unlikely, it is suggested that James Rodriguez might opt for a move to Serie A club, Napoli where he would be reunited with former Madrid and Bayern boss, Carlo Ancelotti.

James Rodriguez started just 13 Bundesliga matches last term and is desperate to play regular first-team football, something which Ancelotti will be able to offer him at Napoli.

The magazine also claimed that Bayern were not decided over the future of Renato Sanches who has repeatedly demanded for more game time in recent weeks.

Inspite of reports linking him with a move to Napoli, Bild magazine has reported that Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to lure the Colombian midfielder to Turin to play for Italian giants, Juventus.

James and Ronaldo have reportedly had several facetime discussions with the latter trying to convince Rodgriguez to move to Turin.

Juventus are short on creative midfielders and have been criticised for failing to get midfielders who can get the ball to Ronaldo.
