BBOG Demands Release of Remaining Chibok Schoolgirls After 2000 Days in Captivity

  • BBOG to hold sit out in Lagos and Abuja.
  • BBOG calls for the release of kidnapped Chbok schoolgirls, Dapchi schoolgirls, abducted aid workers,  kidnapped students and teachers of Engravers College.

The Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) Advocacy group has urged the federal government to ensure the release of 112 Chbok Schoolgirls.

It could be recalled that out of 276 girls kidnapped two thousand days ago, 112 are still believed to be unaccounted for.

The advocacy group took to its Twitter page calling on the government to ensure their release from the kidnappers’ den and link up with their parents.

“#2000Days ago, a school in #Chibok was attacked & 276 schoolgirls abducted. 112 #ChibokGirls are IN CAPTIVITY 112 #ChibokGirls are NOT HOME 112 #ChibokGirls have NOT BEEN RESCUED 112 #ChibokGirls are UNACCOUNTED FOR 112 #ChibokGirls do NOT HAVE THEIR FREEDOM,” BBOG tweeted on Saturday morning.

As part of its advocacy, the BBOG will protest their abduction in a sit-out that will be held on Saturday in Abuja and Lagos respectively.

The Abuja sit out will be held at the Unity Fountain, while the Lagos protest will be conducted at Falomo Roundabout, Ikoyi by 12pm. Fellow human rights activists are also urged to wear something red.

BBOG’s demands

According to the press release sent to iDONSABI, BBOG is also demanding the release of the remaining Dapchi schoolgirl, Leah Sharibu, kidnapped aid workers, kidnapped students and teachers of Engravers College, Kaduna.
