Ben Murray Bruce shift birthday celebration till after election

– He stated that he can’t celebrate while the country is in trouble

Nigerian Senator and businessman, Ben Murray Bruce clock 62 today and many have taken to various media to celebrate and congratulate him.

However, the Senator disclosed that he wouldn’t be celebrating the birthday until after the elections.

Sen. Ben Bruce in his statement disclosed that all festivities will be postponed until after the elections.

He noted that he couldn’t see himself celebrating when the country is going through challenging times.

Sen. Ben Bruce in a satement on Twitter wrote, “Thank you to all my friends and followers who have felicitated with me on my birthday. I do appreciate your warm greetings and show of love. However, any festivities will be postponed until after the elections. I cant see myself celebrating when the nation faces challenging times.”

The Senator in a previous statement has also reacted to the postponed 2019 General Elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

According to the statement released by INEC, the Presidential and National Assembly Election has now been shifted to the 23rd of February while the Governorship election has been shifted to the 8th of March.

Sen. Ben Murray Bruce was born on the 18th of February 1956, he is a politician registered under the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, he is also a business magnate and the founder of Silverbird Group.

The Senator is married to Evelyn Murray Bruce and has four children.

He was elected to the Nigerian Senate in March 2015 under the PDP, where he currently represents Bayelsa East constituency of Bayelsa state.

Sen. Ben Murray Bruce is also an advocate of the Common Sense initiative and he is a supporter of the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
