Boko Haram Attacks Mosque In Maiduguri, Kills 11 And Injures Others
A Boko Haram suicide bomber earlier today, February 16 exploded his bomb vest killing at least 11 people in Kushari village Maiduguri, Borno state capital.
The attack by the Boko Haram members occurred at around 5 am while the Muslim faithful were in mosques for the early morning prayers.
Some residents of the area have come out to say that the incident started first with heavy gunfire before the suicide bomber detonated his explosive device.
iDONSABi gathers from reports that no fewer than 11 people have been killed and 15 others injured in an explosion carried out by a suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber in an early morning attack in Maiduguri, Borno state on Saturday, February 16, a day formally set aside for the General elections.

In addition, reports reaching us suggests that the residents saying that the insurgents attacked Polo Jidari area in Jere local government of the Borno state capital at about 5 am.
The Boko Haram members opened fire on the community before a suicide bomber exploded his explosive vest and ended up killing 8 people and injuring others according to other sources.
Other reports have it that residents said that even the members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) that protected the community were victims in the attack by the insurgents.
The bodies of the injured victims were known to have been taken by the State Emergency Management Agency to the State Specialist Hospital for immediate attention.
The commissioner of police in Borno state identified as Damian Chukwu, who confirmed the incident, stated that two suicide bombers accompanied by a gunman terrorized the mosque.
