Borussia Dortmund Vs Tottenham UCL 05 March Preview

Tottenham will go away to Borussia Dortmund with a three goal advantage for the second leg of their double-legged last 16 tie where they will be looking to come out tops once more.

Borussia Dortmund

After an impressive start to the season for Dortmund, the wheels appear to have fallen off after the German giants ceded ground to Bayern Munich after a number of lackluster performances.

As a matter of fact, Lucien Favre’s side who made all the headlines with an incredible twelve wins from fourteen games have now managed only one win in their last seven in all competitions.

With one leg seemingly out of the Champions League, they hold on to only a tiny lead over Bayern Munich and don’t look in the best of shape at the moment.

Significantly, they conceded more goals in the first leg against Tottenham than they did in all group stage matches. Bad for the team’s recent plays you’d think.

Tottenham

Tottenham like their opponents have also derailed in recent game weeks, taking one point out of a possible nine and significantly putting an end to talks of putting up a challenge for League title.

Rather than look up the table, they are now bound to looking over their shoulders with their lead over Manchester United in fourth place reduced to only three points and the likelihood that they slip out of Champions League qualification spots looking very possible.

They however would come into the game with a three goal advantage and would be looking to hold on to that if they fail to outscore their opponents in Germany.
