1. There is a Plan to Arrest and Inject Me to Death- Dino Melaye

The Senator representing Kogi West, Senatorial district, Dino Melaye has claimed there is a plot by the Inspector General of Police, to arrest and inject him to death today.

He also revealed the IGP has already deployed his men to carry out the act. He told his supporters to watch out.

 2. Gov. Rochas Okorocha Declares to Run for Presidency in 2023

As the quest to establish which Geo-political zone between the South-East and the South-West will ascend the presidency in 2023 continues, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has declared to run for Presidency in 2023.

According to him, he is fixed on becoming the first elected civilian president of Igbo extraction in 2023.

The Imo State Governor further maintained that the attacks against him, was because his detractors have realized that he is the most eligible and most detribalized Igbo man for presidency.

3.  Buhari Finally Speaks On Cabal Allegations by His Wife, Aisha

President Buhari has finally reacted to his wife, Aisha’s statement that the Cabal and two powerful men were in control of his government.

During an interview with VOA, President Buhari was asked if he was aware of the allegation by his wife that a cabal was controlling his government.

Buhari replied that “that’s her business and it shows I am a true democrat by allowing everybody to have an opinion. I challenge those alleging to show single evidence”.

4. We Should Blame Ourselves, If Peace Eludes Us- Obasanjo

He warned that Nigerians, and not God, should accept responsibility, if peace eludes the country.

He added that the situation is getting worrisome by the day. He also mentioned he was in Kaduna and insecurity, kidnappings and killings are happening.

The elder statesman gave the advice on Sunday evening during the 2018 Christmas Carol and Service of Six Lessons organised by the Chapel of Christ the Glorious King (CCKG) situated in the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta.

5. Group Cautions Osinbajo against His Ethnic-Branding Campaign Strategy

The South East Revival Group, SERG, has urged Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State to exercise restraint in their utterances as we near the 2019 general elections to avoid pitching their Yoruba ethnic group against the Igbo.

The National Co-ordinator of SERG, Chief Willy Ezugwu, added that his brand of ethnic politics can spark up ethnic cleansing or inter-tribal crisis.

6. Police Restrict Movement, as Riots Erupt In Zamfara State

The residents of Zamfara State have said that they are now unable to bear the unceasing killings and kidnappings of their relations and loved ones for ransom by bandits in the state.

Residents of some parts of Zamfara State, yesterday, trooped out in protest against the worsening insecurity in the state.

The Police Command unable to bring the riot under control restricted movement in Tsafe Local Council, the main location of the protest.

7. Oshiomole May be a Traitor- APC Youths

A youth group in the APC, Progressives Youth Movement, has expressed concern over the intent of the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, in the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election.

“It is illogical that a party chairman would be unhappy that other parties are campaigning for his presidential candidate”, the group chairman, Mallam Usa Abdullahi said.

8. Oil Magnate, Femi Otedola Sells His Forte Oil Shares

The billionaire oil magnate has transmitted a letter to the Nigerian Stock Exchange informing them of his decision to sell his 75% direct and indirect shareholdings in the company.

In the letter signed by Forte Oil General Council, Akinleye Olagbende,  Otedola said he was divesting from the company in order to “explore and maximise business opportunities in refining and petrochemicals”.

9.  Aisha Attacks Buhari Over Zamfara killings

Activist and Co-founder of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, Aisha Yesufu has taken a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari over his handling of the recent killings in Zamfara state.

She accused the President of playing the ostrich and doing nothing to stop the killings going on in most parts of the country.

10 What Buhari, Osinbajo, Oshiomhole Did on Christmas Day

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday sang the popular Christmas song, “We wish you” in on Tuesday to felicitate with the Christians as they celebrate Christmas.

Buhari sang the song alongside his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo and the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, in his office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
