The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has called upon Nigeria government to come up with measures to stop the incessant and meaningless killings in major parts of the country.
National President of CAN, Reverend Samson Ayokunle, who made the call in yola yesterday at the Saint Theresa Catholic Cathedral where he donated relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons, IDP’s said all measures the Federal Government deems necessary to end the bloodshed in the land must be put in place immediately.
Nigeria About To Experience A Tough Economic Situation — US Government
The United States has predicted that Nigeria will experience a tougher economic situation.
US Consulate General, John Bray,described the current challenges of the country’s economy and the expectations of the future as discouraging in lieu of the projected population of the country, which is expected to be about 450 million by 2050.

Gunmen Kill Former Anambra State House of Assembly Member
Unknown gunmen have killed a former member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Frank-Anthony Igboka.
Igboka was assassinated on the night of Tuesday, April 16th at the Oye Nimo village market square in the Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State by the armed gunmen on a Hilux truck, accosted the former lawmaker while he was driving alone through the Oye Nimo community’s market square, ripping his head and chest with bullets before they drove off.

Troops Nab Kidnappers, Rescues 9 in Ondo
Troops of 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Akure, Ondo state on Tuesday, April 16th, raided a kidnappers hideout in Jugbere village in Owo local government area and apprehended 5 kidnappers and rescued 5 hostages and 4 other kidnapped victims in the area.
The Nigerian Army stated that the raid occurred after they received credible information of kidnap incident involving nine (9) persons at Mr Godwin Ugu Integrated Agric Farm Owo.

Police Apprehend Internet Fraudsters Impersonating King Sunny Ade
The Nigerian Police force has arrested three alleged internet fraudsters identified as Lawrence Oyedokun, 27; Rebecca Oyebode, 23; and Oyewumi Abiodun, 27 for impersonation, fraud and conspiracy.
It was gathered that they operate through an Instagram account @kingsunnyademusic and announce a UK or US tour with Sunny Ade informing fans that it comes with a free visa, thereby swindling over 55 people who have lost over 3 million to them.
