I Advised Onnoghe to Resign to Save Himself from Embarrassment -Tony Momoh

A former Minister of Information, Tony Momoh, says he had advised former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen to resign from his post to save himself from embarrassment

Reacting to the pronouncement the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) on Onnoghen, Momoh said that the argument of some lawyers that Onnoghen shouldn’t have been taken to CCT was not tenable, arguing that such lawyers didn’t know what they were talking about.

Aisha Buhari Sues for Live And Peace in Adamawa

Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari has called on citizens of Adamawa state to unite and move the state forward.

Mrs Buhari stressed the need for peace and love as necessary ingredients to steer the state to the path for accelerated socio-economic development and prosperity, noting noted that Adamawa is at crossroads due to recent political developments in the state that have left people in a state of uncertainty about the future.

Gunmen Strike in Benue Community, Kill 11 Christians

Gunmen ambushed about some people coming back from the church after a Good Friday service killing eleven at Tse-Aye and Tse-Ngibo, Ikurav Tiev in Katsina/Ala local government area of Benue state, leaving many wounded and missing.

The attack which was said to be a fallout of the deep-rooted rivalry and power tussle between the people of Shitile and other neighbouring communities in Sankera area of the state comprising Logo, Ukum and Katsina/Ala local government areas had overtime defiled all meaningful efforts by highly placed people of the areas to have it resolved because it was a creation of some unseen powerful hands in the area.

No Fire Incident at Abuja Airport – FAAN

The Federal Airport Authority Of Nigeria (FAAN) has reacted to the story of an alleged fire incident on Saturday afternoon at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Some passengers had panicked when the saw smoke in part of the airport terminal. According to FAAN, what the passengers saw was residue from the hydrant which was released by the automated fire detector and protection machine installed in the airport’s new terminal.

Ayade Donates 1m to Inmate Who Delivered Twins

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state has donated N1 million and other gift items to the management of the General Hospital Calabar for the upkeep of the prison inmate who gave birth to twins at the hospital on Thursday, April 18.

The governor, who in his Easter message, noted that in the spirit of the season, `the beautiful babies deserve love and care’ said in line with his welfare policy and love for children, the twins were named after him and his wife, Ben and Linda Ayade.

Finance Minister Defends Nigeria’s Increasing Debts

The Minister of Finance Minister, Zainab Ahmed says the federal government is borrowing in order to deliver its promises to the citizens of the country.

While noting that the government is also mindful of the increasing incurred debt, Ahmed the country is not in financial crisis in spite of warnings by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank group.
