Shiite Sect Takes Protest to National Assembly

Protest by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) on Wednesday stopped federal lawmakers to adjourn plenary after they forced their way into the national assembly premises to protest the continued detainment of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

The Reps adjourned plenary for the sake of caution after the protesters attacked and broke down the first gate, then made way to the second gate as they continued to call for the release of their leader.

Nnamdi Kanu Release Fresh Evidences Regarding President Buhari’s True Nationality

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has come up with evidence about the true citizenship of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The IPOB leader in a broadcast televised live from the United Kingdom last weekend said Nnamdi Kanu, neither the dead Buhari nor his replacement Jubril Al-Sudani is a citizen of Nigeria according to Section 25 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Nigerians Should Take Up Blue Collar Jobs” – Chris Ngige

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has urged Nigerians to go into other professions like carpentry, plumbing, by not only looking for white collar jobs.

The Minister said unemployment will reduce and productivity will increase if Nigerians go beyond seeking white collar jobs and take up blue collar jobs that are not common.

Why Senate Postponed Passage of 2019 Budget

The Senate on Wednesday postponed the passage of the 2019 Budget to Next week Tuesday, 30th of April due to the absence of the Chairman of the committee.

Saraki who said the postponement would help committee members go through the budget details before it is passed directed the National Assembly secretariat to ensure that the senators get copies of the bill ahead of passage in order to prevent any delay next week.

Buhari inaugurates 5.7km Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road

In a bid to ease gridlock and boost Nigeria’s image and dignity, President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road, Lagos state.

The Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road; formerly a four lanes road before its recent expansion into a 10-lane, was redesigned to include two flyover bridges at Mafoluku and the Haji Camp with five pedestrian overhead bridges expected to ease gridlock and enhance the easy movement of travellers in and out of the country as well as those travelling between Apapa, Oshodi and Ikeja axis.

Lai Mohammed Assures All regions of Involvement in Rail Development

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed on Wednesday assured that no region and state capital would be left out of its rail development master plan.

The Minister, who reiterated the federal government’s commitment and focus in the provision of infrastructures, said no part of Nigeria would be shortchanged and noted that the Eastern rail corridor which traversed the South East and South-South states, connecting them to other regions is in the master plan and will be developed.
