EFCC Reveals Why Naira Marley Was Arrested
Nigerian musical artist, Afeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley was arrested on Friday which also happens to be his birthday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in relation to advance fee fraud.

Kano: Lawmaker gives reasons for the creation of Emirates and Chiefdoms
The lawmaker representing Kaduna central district, Senator Shehu Sann has given five reasons Kano state Governments create chiefdoms and Emirates reducing the power of the Emir Of Kano, Alh. Mohammed Sanusi II to the administration of 8 areas.
According to Sanni, the State Governments create chiefdoms and emirates to settle political scores, to thrust one ethnic or religious group over another or set them against each other, to reward cronyism and patronage, to reinforce their power base or for divide and rule.

Court of Appeal faults Exparte Order issued against Onnoghen
The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Friday faulted the Exparte Order issued by the Code of Conduct Tribunal CCT and acted upon by Pres. Muhammadu Buhari which led to the suspension of Walter Onnoghen in January as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
The panel which comprised of a three-man panel of the court and chaired by Justice Stephen Adah, declared that since Onnoghen had not been arraigned as at January 23, 2019, when the ex-parte order was passed then it was wrong for the prosecution to have the secretary went behind him to obtain an order for his removal from office.
Ngige Tells Nigerian Workers To Disregard NLC’s Call For Protest On Monday
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has asked workers to disregard the call by Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) for a one- day national protest on Monday, 13th May 2019.
The minister stated this in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Nwachukwu Obidewe in Abuja on Friday, 10th May, saying the directive by the NLC President, Ayuba Waba, that workers protest on Monday, May 13, 2019, was unlawful.

Police Arraigns Man Who Beat His Wife To Death For Refusing To Sleep With Him
The Nigeria Police Force, Lagos state command on Friday arraigned a 31-year-old man, Godspower Johnson, before the Ebute Metta Chief Magistrate Court for allegedly beating his wife to death during a fight to sleep with her.
According to the prosecutor, he inserted his two fingers into her private part which the deceased was not happy about and resisted and stopped him, getting Godspower Johnson angry and he started beating her until she passed away from the injuries sustained during the fight.
