The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has challenged President Muhammadu Buhari to within 14 days, account for the humongous corruption and treasury looting, under his watch, amounting to over N14 trillion.
The opposition party insisted that President Buhari must show his integrity by opening up his tenure for investigation, adding that such was the demand Presidency made from other elected officials in the legislature and state governments across the country.
Any Country Not Educating Girls Is Indirectly Locking Itself Up – Osinbajo
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has expressed the need for Nigeria to place more premium on quality education and girl-child education in particular.
The vice president, who said education is the most powerful force to tackle abject poverty and grow the economy and polity noted that on the average, girls are smarter than boys and that any country that does not educate girls is indirectly locking itself up.

Fayemi Cancels Employments Made By Fayose Since July 2018
Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state has nullified all employments made by the administration of former Governor Ayodele Fayose from July 2018.
Fayemi who condemned the ‘last minute’ employment made by the past administration apointed that the employments lacked due process and were hurriedly done after he won the governorship election in the state last year.
Sacked Workers: Fayemi’s Action “Height of Wickedness And Political Vendetta” – Fayose
Immediate former Ekiti Governor, Ayo Fayose, has described the revocation of the appointment of 2,000 workers employed by him shortly before leaving office, as “height of wickedness and political vendetta.”
Fayose who described the action of Fayemi’s administration as most unfortunate told thw affected civil servants not to be disillusioned and approach the court to challenge the State Government’s decision.
INEC Moves Kogi, Bayelsa Governorship Elections to November 16
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the postponement of governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States to November 16.
The commission said the decision was taken after several pleadings from Bayelsa Government, state assembly, elders, religious leaders, traditional rulers and other critical stakeholders in the state that the poll coincides with the state’s annual Thanksgiving Day which is backed by the Bayelsa State Government Day Law 2012.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to comments made by the Presidency suggesting that he and his party are sabotaging the Muhammadu Buhari-led government, saying they are lies.
Atiku said, “It is not surprising that such a despicable lie is emanating from Mr Lai Mohammed, President Buhari’s aptly named Minister of Information.”
