– According to the report, the tribunal has now been postponed to May 22

The reports gathered today disclosed that the 2019 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal was seated today to continue the hearing at the Court of Appeal, Abuja.

A report made it known that the President of the Court of Appeal who also doubles as the Chairperson of the 2019 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa was present to preside over the case.

The report added that while the Tribunal was in session, the popular Shehu Shagari Way in Abuja was blocked and barricaded by the Nigerian Police and other security agencies in view of the pre hearing of the petitions from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and it 2019 Presidential Candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar against Pres. Muhammadu Buhari and the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

However, a latest report has confirmed that the 2019 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has been adjourned to May 22nd 2019.

The reason for the adjournment was that it will give time to determine the status of Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa as the Chairperson of the Tribunal.

Also the PDP has confirmed it via it Twitter handle where it wrote, “Breaking News! The 2019 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has adjourned to May 22, 2019 to determine the status of Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa as Chairperson of the Tribunal.”

There are allegations of corruption against the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa and also the opposition party, the PDP has pointed to the fact that her husband, Sen. Mohammed Bulkachuwa is a member of the All Progressive Congress APC representing Bauchi Senatorial District.
