Bruno Fernandes: Manchester United Agree £46m Plus Add-Ons For Portuguese

Manchester United have finally sealed a deal with Sporting CP for the transfer of Bruno Fernandes according to several reports.

The Portuguese also dropped a big hint suggesting he could soon be adorning a United shirt. United reportedly submitted two deals for the Portuguese just within 24 hours with the first unrepentant thrown out the window.

Fernandes will be completing his move to Old Trafford for a fee of £46million. The Portuguese star who found the net 63 times in 147 appearances for Sporting is set to sign a £100,000 per week deal that could see him remain at Old Trafford till 2024.

The deal could potentially rise to about £67million with £8.4million in easily attainable bonuses and £12.6 million in additional more difficult bonuses. One of the clauses are suspected to be winning the Ballon D’Or.

Barcelona were reportedly interested in buying him at the last minute and loaning him to Valencia in  complicated deal that meant Valencia’s Rodrigo would be moving to the Camp Nou.

The attacking-minded midfielder is now due to United for a medical on Wednesday with his personal terms expected to be a ‘no-issue’.

If the deal goes through as is expected, Bruno Fernandes could be in United’s lineup against Wolves on Saturday.

A close friend of the Portuguese who goes by the name Carolina Deslandes posted a picture of them together with an airplane emoji for caption, suggesting that Fernandes could well be on his way to England to put pen to paper for Manchester United.

The Sporting skipper was stopped outside his car by Portuguese TV station SIC and asked if he would prefer a Premier League move than one to Laliga giants, Barcelona. The Portugal star replied: “It always was.”

He also responded “anything really” to whatever Man United questions were asked him.
