Buffon Arrives Juve For Medicals | Set To Sign 1-Year Deal

Gianluigi Buffon is only a step away from making an emotional return to Juventus today with the 41 year old arriving at J-centre in Turin to undergo his medicals.

After a one year spell at PSG, the Italian legendary goalkeeper is back to where he has spent over two decades of his career, establishing himself as first choice goalkeeper for several years.

Once his medicals are passed, just the modalities of his contract will be signed and executed and he becomes a Juventus player.

Just a summer ago, Buffon made an emotional switch to Paris Saint Germain with the lap of honor rendered by the goalkeeper and emotional cries from the fans and teammates of the Turin giants usurping the fact that Juve had just one won another Scuddetto.

Buffon who had won all titles available to a  goalkeeper including the World Cup in 2006 and a third-place finish on the FIFA Balon D’Or standings sought greener pastures elsewhere having failed to win the Champions League during his 17 years spell at Juventus.

Paris Saint Germain took the opportunity to seize a world class goalkeeper at the time but the 41year old is set to return to Italy having failed to win his most coveted title in France.

It is understood that Buffon will sign a one-year contract with the Italian giants if he goes through all his medicals and physical assessments unscathed.

If as expected the deal comes through, he will add to a list of signings brought in by the Biaconeris in what has been so far a productive summer for the black and white.

They have brought in Sarri for Allegri and once again Cristiano Ronaldo will lead the charge with a wonderful supporting cast which features terrific midfielders brought on a free in Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot.
