Buhari Is Not An Orator, But He Gets Things Done – Osinbajo

Vice President Osinbajo has lauded his principal, President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he said never claimed to be an orator, but gets things done.

Osinbajo stated this at the 11th Bola Tinubu Colloquium entitled ‘Next Level and Work For People’ in Lagos state on Thursday where he represented President Buhari.

“The President has never claimed to be an orator – he just gets things done. There’s a track record here, not of talking, but of getting things done. And that’s what we’ve seen in the last 4 years,” he stated.

Tinubu a former governor of Lagos state clocks 67 today. The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been receiving god wish messages from friends and political associates, with President Buhari describing him as one of Nigeria’ strong pillars of democracy.

The Vice President also credited the 2001 reform agenda of Tinubu when he was a Governor, which made Lagos State be the state with the highest IGR, more than 31 states of the Federation.

The celebrant, Tinubu during his own remark thanked Osinbajo, describing him as a great leader with integrity.

“Talent alone does not make a great leader. Character, integrity, commitment matters. Yemi thank you”,” he said.

Industrialization

Presenting on project titled Made In Nigeria for Export (MINE), a Special Economic Zones Programme of the Federal Government, the Minister of Trades and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah, said it is aimed at boosting Nigeria’s manufacturing share of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to 20% and create 1.5m jobs over the next ten years.

He also said MINE will fastrack development of pilot Special Economic Zones (SEZs), work with Public Private Partnership (PPP) partners to develop greenfield SEZs, adding that all parts of the country will be fully represented.

While noting that the Federal Government has laid the foundation in the first four years, he said it will be building on those achievements.

Nigeria Special Economic Zones Investment Company (NSEZCo) is jointly owned by the Federal Government, Afrexim Bank – African Export-Import Bank (Afrexim), African Finance Corporation (AFC), African Development Bank (,AfDB), Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NISA).

It has kicked off the following projects:; Enyimba Econ City, Lekki Model Industrial Park , 1,000ha in North East corridor of Lekki Free Zone, and Funtua Cotton Cluster.
