Oyemykke isn’t finding it funny after Victoria Kimani called out Beyonce for ‘excluding‘ East Africans from her Lion King album.
The album set to release on the 19th of July features several African artistes like Wizkid, Shatta Wale, Busiswa, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Burna Boy and Yemi Alade.
However, Victoria Kimani raised her concern on Twitter, subtly shading Beyonce for not including East African artists as the movie, Lion King was based on Kenya.
“Rafiki, Simba and Nala are Kenyans.
“Y’all could already add Lupita or Obama on the outro since we don’t have artists in East Africa,” She wrote sarcastically.
“As much as we celebrate with our fellow Africans..the obvious exclusion of Kenyans/East Africans from this soundtrack is depressing. The movie was based on Kenya.” She wrote.
In reaction, Oyemykke blasted her and everyone complaining about Beyonce’s choice, tagging them ‘bunch of small minded idiots.”
