COVID-19: Imposing or Lifting Curfews Should Be Guided by Scientific Indices, Not Politics – Sani
Former lawmaker, Shehu Sani has said that imposing or lifting of curfews have to be guided by scientific and medical indices and recommendations, not politics, economics or religion.
Sani who is a critic of the ruling government stated this via his Twitter a few minutes after President Muhammdu Buhari hinted at the possibility of extending the lockdown order.
He noted that it is better to make a hard choice of temporary discomfort for survival or temporary comfort to extinction.
He further stated that that the COVID-19 has brought a halt to human trafficking at the moment. This is based on what his friend living in Niger state told him.
On the fight against the dreaded virus that has killed over 100,000 in the world, he described it as an invisible enemy. He added that the choice is for all to retreat to their bunkers with all its inconveniences in order to defeat it or charge forward straight to the harm’s way.
