COVID-19 Nigeria Update
Akwa Ibom has now joined the list of affected states, making the total state affected in the country to be 12.
It becomes the third South-South state to be on the list after Rivers and Edo states.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded the largest case in a day so far yesterday with 35.

Out of the 35, there were nine new cases in Osun, two in Edo and one in Ekiti State. Lagos had an additional nine cases, seven in the FCT, five in Akwa Ibom, one ins Kaduna and Bauchi states respectively.

Nigeria now has 174 confirmed cases with nine discharged two deaths recorded so far with Lagos being the epicenter in the country with 91 cases. Others are FCT- 35, Osun- 14, Oyo- 8, Ogun- 4, Edo- 4, Kaduna- 4, Bauchi- 3, Enugu- 2, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-1, Benue- 1, and Akwa Ibom- 5.
