COVID-19 Nigeria Update Today
Nigeria has now crossed the 3,000 mark of COVID-19 cases after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 195 new cases.
From the 195 COVID-19 cases; 82 are in Lagos, 30 in Kano, 19 in Zamfara, 18 in Sokoto, 10 in Borno, 9 in FCT, 8 in Oyo, 5 each in Kebbi and Gombe, 4 in Ogun, 3 in Katsina while Kaduna and Adamawa recorded one case each.

As Nigeria now have 3145 confirmed cases of #COVID-19, 534 patients have been discharged while 103 have died.
Police officers fear over persistent coughing of DCO
There was a palpable fear in the Achala Police Division in Anambra State over alleged persistent coughing of a newly posted Divisional Crime Officer (DCO).
According to reports, the DCO, who was posted to the division two weeks ago, has been coughing, raising suspicion that he may have caught the coronavirus.
It was gathered that he has been subjected to test by the signal headquarters.
Lagos discharge another 35
The Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of 37 COVID-19 patients who have recovered from the dreaded virus.
The announcement was made by the Lagos state ministry of health, through its verified Twitter, handle on Wednesday. Those discharged include 19 females and 18 males, in which one of them is an Indian.

Lagos being the epicenter is leading the pack in the number of discharged patients with the total number of recoveries from the virus in the state rising to 358.
Lebanese community donates ambulance to Lagos state government
The Lebanese community in Lagos has donated eight truck-loads of food items and an ambulance valued at N82.5 million to the Lagos State government.
The items are meant to help the state cushion the effect of COVID-19 lockdown on the residents.
Included in the food items are 1,848 cartons of Aquafina water, 105 cartons of sanitizers, 350 cartons of noodles, 100 cartons of 1kg rice, 120 cartons of margarine, 1,000 cartons of supreme noodles, 1,667 cartons of biscuits, 300 cartons of chips, soya oil, 1,000 cartons of Semovita and 1,000 cartons of spaghetti, among many others.
The Lebanese Consul-General led by Elias Nicolas, who made the donation, lauded Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration for its efforts at curtailing the spread of the virus.
