COVID-19: Reactions Trail Ganduje’s Closure of Kano Borders And Airport

In other to avoid the spread of the deadly coronavirus to his state, Kano Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has taken a preventive measure by ordering the closure of the state borders and Airport.

His requests for N50bn loan was also granted by the state assembly to cushion the effect of the pandemic on whoever is affected.

“To contain and reduce the spread of the COVID – 19 virus, we have decided to implement a total lockdown of the state. From March 27, all routes in and out of Kano will be shut, including the Mallam Aminu Kano Airport. Please stay home and let us fight this virus together,” part of the statement reads.
The move has been commended by many Twitter users, who noted that the governor has put the safety of people first.
