COVID-19: Runtown To Gift 10M To Nigerians As Total Lockdown Looms

Nigerian singer, Runtown has taken to his twitter page to announce he is giving away 10 million naira to fans as total lockdown looms.

He asked fans who are financially incapacitated especially during this Coronavirus outbreak to drop their account details for the giveaway. The singer also encouraged people who have enough not to drop warned their account details so the money can go to those who actually need it.

This is coming after the Lagos state government issued a stay at home order following the widespread of coronavirus.

Runtown wrote;

“HOPE EVERYONE IS STAYING SAFE . TIMES ARE EXTREMELY TOUGH AND I AM CERTAIN THERE ARE PEOPLE WITH NO MONEY TO STOCK UP ON SURVIVAL ESSENTIALS . WILL BE GIVING OUT 10 MILLION NAIRA TO THIS CAUSE . KINDLY DROP YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS”

“NOTE : OBVIOUSLY 10 MILLION NAIRA WOULD NOT GO ROUND, SO IF YOU HAVE OTHER MEANS TO SUSTAIN YOURSELF, RESPECTFULLY DON’ T SEND IN YOUR ACCOUNT.”

Meanwhile, Runtown isn’t the only celebrity concerned about the welfare of other Nigerians during this period. Other celebrities like Toyin Abraham and CDQ have also donated to people as lockdown looms.
