COVID-9 Nigeria Update Today

Nigeria has recorded 265 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total confirmed cases to 7526.
Lagos the epicenter of the dreaded virus topped the chart with a new 133 cases, 34 in Oyo, 28 in Edo, 23 in Ogun, 22 in FCT, 6 in Plateau, 5 in Kaduna, 3 each in Borno and Niger, 2 in Kwara, Bauchi, Anambra, and Enugu.

From the 7526 cases 2174 have been discharged while 221 have died.

Lagos intensifies distribution of mask

As part of its aim of curbing the spread of the coronavirus, the Lagos State Government has intensified the distribution of Face Masks to residents in 57 LGAs/LCDAs.

As part of cooperate social responsibility, popular Fuji musician, Alabiu Pasuma and Comedian Owen Gee showed their supports by helping the government in that regard in Ikeja and Mushin.

Lagos discharges another 45 COVID-19 free patients

The Lagos state government has also from its isolation facilities discharged 45 fully recovered COVID-19 patients. Out of the 45, 22 were females and 23 were males, all Nigerians.

Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-0lu revealed that the patients are 19 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 3 from Onikan, 8 from Agidingbi, 7 from Lekki, 1 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) and 7 from Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation Centres.

With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from Lagos Isolation facilities has risen to 707.
