Team News

Crystal Palace

Palace are in a precarious postion in the league. With just 2 wins in the last nine premier league matches, they are placed 15th in the league and face a tricky tie at home to Arsenal. Their last 3 league game have all eneded up in losses against Bournemouth, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.

Roy Hodgson will be really worried about how to turn things around. Considering that his team’s next four in the Premier League are against Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United. It is a terrible run of fixtures for a team in need of a win. Ofcourse they might well find themselves in the relegation zone entering the month of December if they do not start getting some positive results.

Benteke and Scott Dan are both the only injury concerns and so the starting lineup will look something like this

Hennessey; Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Sakho, Van Aanholt; McArthur, Milivojevic, Kouyate, Schlupp; Zaha, Townsend

Arsenal

Arsenal are in the form of their lives. Winning 11 in a run full of goals and beautiful football. They are gunning for their 12th straight win in all competitions. This is coming after initial losses to Manchester City and Chelsea with many criticising their football and echoing the disappointments in the Wenger era.

The Gunners did lose 11 of their 19 away Premier League matches last season but have won their last three league matches on the road, scoring 10 times in the process. There are still question marks over the team’s defensive strength, but the capital outfit have played some wonderful football down the other end of the field.

It has been a relatively “easy” run of fixtures for Arsenal as they still have matches against Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool. But they will be looking to see of those teams to protect their winning run

Mesut Ozil, Iwobi and Granit Xhaka are bound to return to the starting lineup after been rested for the Europa league. The starting lineup will look something like this…

Leno; Bellerin, Mustafi, Soktatis, Lichtsteiner; Xhaka, Torreira; Iwobi, Ozil, Aubameyang; Lacazette

Head To Head

Sunday will bring their 44th meeting in all competitions, and Arsenal have won 28 of those matches, suffering just four defeats in the process.
