We Have Delivered On Our Electoral Promises, Buhari Says At Osun Rally

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday in Osogbo, Osun State capital said his administration has delivered on its electoral promises by turning around the condition of the nation in terms of social and economic developments.

He contended that the federal government under his leadership had recorded significant progress in improving the security of lives and properties, most especially in the North East.


Vote For Prosperity Leaders, Tambuwal Urges Voters

The Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has urged voters in the state to cast their votes for leaders who will improve their living standards and provide security.

The Governor who was speaking during the People’s Democratic Party, PDP rally in Isa and Sabon Birni Local Governmennt area respectively on Saturday.

He advised voters in the state to cast their votes for leaders who is ready to take responsibility and not those that will be control by selected cabals.


Use Your PVCs To Kill Atiku Politically, Oshiomhole Tells Nigerians

National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has called on Nigerians to use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to sentence the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to political death.

Oshiomhole made this call when President Muhammadu Buhari; Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; APC National Leader, Senator Bola Tinubu and other APC stalwarts stormed Ibadan, on Saturday, to campaign for Buhari’s reelection.


Crisis Rocks Lagos AD As Avasi, Stakeholders Disagree Over Sack Of Chairman

Crisis appears to have rocked the Lagos State chapter of Alliance for Democracy (AD) as the party, through a communiqué read by its National Publicity Secretary, Ms Olayinka Nola, announced the suspension of Mr Kolawole Ajayi, its chairman in the state replacing him with Rev. Otti, in an acting capacity.

In the communique read by Nola at the end of an emergency general congress of the party in Lagos on Tuesday night, Ajayi’s suspension was based on allegation of engaging in acts of indiscipline and gross misconduct in the management of the party’s affairs, saying the decision forms the outcome of the work of a disciplinary committee that was put in place to investigate the allegations against the embattled chairman.


PDP’s Suspension Of Campaign Over Onnoghen, Face-Saving Measure ― Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has described as a face-saving measure the decision by the PDP to pull the brakes on its electioneering campaign over Justice Walter Onnoghen’s suspension, saying the PDP’s campaign never gained traction in the first instance.

He wondered why the PDP is crying more than the bereaved and asked the opposition party whether Justice Onnoghen is one of its members.


Ag. CJN Swears-In Chairmen, Members Of Election Petition Tribunals

Less than 24 hours after he was sworn in as the acting Chief Justice of Nigerian (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed on Saturday, performed his first official duty when he swore-in Chairmen and members of the election petition tribunals for the 2019 general elections.

Out of the 17 Justices of the Supreme Court, only Justice Sidi Bage was in attendance when the acting CJN, was swearing in the 250 members who would sit on the 2019 Election Panels inside the Chambers of the Supreme Court Headquarters in Abuja.


Nasarawa APC Senatorial Candidate Promises To Tackle Infrastructural Deficit

Quit The Bench Now, PDP Tells Tanko

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday called on Justice Mohammed Tanko, appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) on Friday to quit the bench as it noted that he cannot function in that capacity since there is no vacancy in the office.

The party noted what it said is the illegal swearing in of members of the election petitions tribunal judges by Justice Tanko and surmised that his action was a complete nullity.


Ngige Clarifies Govt Stand On National Minimum Wage

Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, has said the National Minimum wage of N27, 000 is standard for all workers, but the Federal Government will pay federal workers N30,000.

According to the minister, President Muhammadu Buhari constituted a Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage (TCNMW) in November 2017 to consider the issue and recommend a new national minimum wage.


Atiku/Obi Endorsement: You Are On Your Own ― Anambra Govt Tells Ohanaeze

The Anambra State Governor has washed its hand off the Thursday’s endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Some of the reasons for the endorsement included Atiku’s promise on restructuring and his choice of Mr Peter Obi as his running mate.

However, addressing a press conference at Golden Tulip hotel Agulu, in Anocha local government Area of the state, the Secretary to the Anambra State Government SSG, Prof. Solomon Osita Chukwulobelu, who spoke on behalf of the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano and who also led a delegation of the State to the Imeobi, said Anambra state was not part of the exercise that endorsed Atiku Abubakar.
