David Adeleke popularly known as Davido who has just come off the back of selling out the O2 at his live-in-concert has implored youths to go all out and vote for their favoured candidates rather than coward behind social media.
Just recently, the Alpha male afropop singer sold out the O2 drawing comparisons between himself and Wizkid who had achieved that earlier last year. Albeit, controversies surrounding whether the show was indeed sold out or not – a controversy championed by SoundCity – the hiphop singer has been able to prove beyond reasonable doubts that he sold out the O2 and matched Wizkid’s feat in the process.

Speaking days after the event to Channel 4 – a report he posted on his verified Twitter account – the singer hinted on a possible switch to politics.
The most followed indigenous Nigerian celebrity on Instagram said there was some little probability that he could go into politics sometime later in life.
With the 2019 Presidential elections slated for the 16th of February around the corner, Davido has implored his followers and other youths to come all out and vote for their candidates.
He opined that tweets and hashtags were a good thing but that votes were always going to be the deciding factor. He also reminded his followers that the collection of PVC would end on the 8th of February and urged them to collect theirs accordingly.
The following are the ‘IF’ crooner tweets:
“Tweets and hashtags is a great start but that alone will NOT secure Nigeria’s future, VOTING will”,
“This is the final week for you to collect your PVCs. Deadline is February 8th. Please do the needful”,
“Voting is our civic right. Social media battles won’t cut it. Come February 2019, let’s go out and exercise our RIGHT to VOTE!”
“When votes don’t count, democracy loses. Tribalism wins. Bigotry wins. Nepotism wins. Voting is your civic responsibility”, he wrote.
