Just last year, the music star promised to sell out the O2 Arena just like his fellow singer Wizkid. The singer when asked where he was about to go next after a show in France said:

“It’s called eh, my brother (Wizkid) did it, I’m about to do it, O2.”

Few weeks before that, Wizkid had made history when he sold out the 20,000 capacity, O2 Arena, the first of its kind for a Nigerian. This was at the AfroRepublik concert in London.

It showed just how much Nigerian music and entertainment industry was sellable to the world. Important to realize is that the event was also streamed online via a YouTube channel to people who couldn’t attend the show.

Just some months and years back, Wizkid and Davido were at loggerheads with the media fueling hatred between the two.

However, recent events have seen the duo turn out besties. They have openly shown love for each other and even perform at events together. This friendship was further promoted with the new Pepsi advert where the duo were captured showing their support for the Nigerian spirit.

Two years and counting, Nigerian stars have been making giant strides in and out of the country with superstars like Wizkid, Davido and Burnaboy being the frontiers
