Davido To Begin Music Promotion On American Radio Stations This Week In A Bid To Break Into US Market.

Nigerian Pop singer, Davido is on his way to break serials of records with his 20-month old Afrobeats song, Fall. Recall that only few weeks ago, Busta Rhymes made a remix to the song with fellow singer and rapper, Prayah.

According to Rolling stone, the song is gaining traction on air waves and Davido via his Twitter handle has revealed a new record that the Afrobeat song is set to break.

The pop star has been enjoying a fair share of success with his song Fall recently becoming the longest charting Nigerian song on the Billboard.

The song which has constantly gained airplay on US radio is set to push boundaries even further with a plan press run scheduled for this week.

He wrote: “My US Radio/-Press run just starts this week and we already have two records in the top 40 urban radio charts….Only up from here!! We are about to break!!!”

The singer seems to have his eyes on the American market lately. Recall that the singer signed a deal with International record label, Sony Music/RCA worth millions of Naira.

However, it could be said that the singer didn’t make any hits under the record label with his record breaking hit, ‘If’, coming after dumping Sony which according to him attempted to change his music style to suit fans of contemporary music.

That said, Davido is on the way of hitting the American market big with many Nigerian stars falling short of that in the past.

The singer has started a promotion campaign that has already seen his song not only being the most Shazamed song in the city of New York but also constantly finding some place on the Billboards Chart even several months after its release.

Davido has constantly been a source of inspiration and challenge to African artistes who wish to establish themselves as world celebrities.
