Dele Momodu reacts as Bukola Saraki loses senate re-election bid

Nigerian Sen. Pres. Bukola Saraki has lost his re-election bid back to the Senate in the 2019 Presidential and National Assembly election which took place last Saturday, 23rd of Feb.

According to the report, the Senate Pres. lost to the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Dr. Yahaya Oloriegbe.

The report made it known that Yahaya Oloriegbe scored the total of 123,808 votes to defeat Sen. Pres. Bukola Saraki, who scored 68,994 votes in the four local government areas of Kwara Senatorial District.

Following the defeat of the Sen. President, Bukola Saraki in the 2019 Election, popular Media Mogul, Dele Momodu has reacted to the defeat.

Dele Momodu, who is also a supporter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in his statement applauded the Bukola Saraki for the battles he fought for the country’s democracy.

The media mogul in his statement said , “My dear Oloye, DR ABUBAKAR BUKOLA SARAKI, I appreciate the battles you fought for Democracy. But for you, and a few others, Nigeria would have been sentenced to a full-blown dictatorship. Because you stood, like the Rock of Gibraltar, elections and politics became full-scale war!”

In another report, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has officially opened collation center and counting for the 2019 Presidential Election will commence today.

The Electoral body in an earlier report had made it known that the result for Presidential Election will take some days before it is released.

According to the report, the candidates of the All Progressive Congress APC, Pres. Buhari and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP are way ahead of other Presidential candidates.
