Dolores Mother Of Ronaldo Released From Hospital After Struggle With Stroke

Cristiano Ronaldo has remained in his hometown of Madeira, Portugal since the Coronavirus pandemic caused the suspension of competitive football in Italy.

He’s been back with his mother, Maria Dolores who was rushed to hospital in March after suffering a stroke.

Dolores posted a message on her social media accounts, appreciating all those who have shown support for her during her recent health problems.

Five-time Balon D’Or winner, Ronaldo rushed home to Madeira on hearing the news that she had suffered a stroke, with the Juventus talisman at the time thanking everyone who had shown support for his mum.

“Thank you for all your messages of support for my mum.

“She is currently stable and recovering in hospital.

“Me and my family would like to thank the medical team looking after her, and kindly ask that we are all given some privacy at this time.”

The superstar’s mum has now been released from the Madeira’s Nelio Mendonca Hospital, much to the relief of all who care about her wellbeing including her son who has remained in Portugal since the Coronavirus-enforced football break in Italy.

She is now reported to be resting in a private medical institution. The matriarchal figure in the Ronaldo family is no doubt delighted to be back on her feet and is taking the time to reflect on her recovery from a turbulent period.

In Dolores’ post on Instagram, she wrote:

“I am lucky to have the opportunity to live, to love my family and have them close to me.

“Thank you to everyone for their support and affection. These have been difficult days, but ones of struggle and victory. Now I’m at home surrounded by the love of my family, my good energy.

“I will stay here as I like to but always looking after myself first. Everything will be fine.

“You thought I wouldn’t come back but I returned slowly, softly, calmly and with peace in my heart.”
