DSS Apprehends PDP Campaign Spokesman in Kaduna State

The Director of Media and Publicity and the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Organisation in Kaduna State identified as Ben Bako, has been apprehended by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

Ben Bako, the spokesperson of PDP was arrested on Saturday night and traveled to Abuja after been invited by the DSS office in Kaduna State.

According to reports, it was stated that Ben Bako was apprehended following video clips showing him making inciting comments during the PDP campaign rally last week in Kafanchan, Jama’a Local Government of Kaduna state.

In the course of the video, Ben Bako of PDP urged his party members to deal with anyone that will work against the PDP during the elections set to take place on Saturday, February 16th.

Spokesman of the PDP in Kaduna state identified as Abraham Catoh, confirmed the arrest in a telephone interview with some sources, adding that Ben Bako was invited by the DSS in Kaduna on Saturday over his comments during the campaigns in Kafanchan, Kaduna and was taken to Abuja after hours of questioning.

Abraham Catoh, Spokesman of the PDP, stated that the Peoples Democratic Party is expected to address a news conference on the issue tomorrow, February 11th, in order to get a solution to the issue which has seen the arrest of the Director of Media and Publicity of PDP, Ben Bako by the DSS.

The deputy director of PDP identified as Yakubu Lere, also confirmed the arrest of Ben Bako by the DSS and had been taken to Abuja for questioning over his comments during a PDP campaign.

We currently await a statement from the DSS over the arrest of Ben Banko, the Director of Media and Publicity of PDP.
