“Duncan Mighty Wasn’t Kidnapped, He Was Arrested For Alleged Fraud’ – Imo State Police

Some hours after news of Duncan Mighty being attacked and taken away by unknown gunmen surfaced online, Imo State Police Command revealed they were the one who arrested the singer.

According to the Imo State’s police P.R.O, the singer was arrested for fraud after reneging on an agreement he made with Imo State Government.

The PRO reported that the singer signed an agreement with Imo State Government led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha to manage, promote, arrange collaboration with other top artistes and sign an upcoming rapper, M2 on his record label, Young Wealth.

This agreement was allegedly sealed with a fee of N11 million which was paid to him. However, he refused to fulfill his own part of the deal after payment.

It was also revealed that the artiste was once arrested before today and he confirmed going into an agreement. He promised to refund the money if the contract was terminated and he was released.

However, after the termination of the contract by the representative of the former Governor, Duncan Mighty refused to refund the money. This has led to his arrest in the early hours today.
