Easter: Fayose urges Nigerians Not to Give Up, Says There Are Better Days Ahead

Ekiti former governor, Ayodele Fayose, has urged Nigerians not to give up on the country in the spirit of Easter.

Fayose rather asked them to keep hope alive on whatever challenges were presently facing the nation.

In his Easter message released in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, by his media aide, Lere Olayinka, the former governor said that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ had given mankind the hope that no situation was beyond the divine power of God.

While urging Nigerians to stand for the truth at all times, Fayose added that only this could exalt a nation.

“That our Lord Jesus Christ never gave up on his mission for our salvation despite the betrayals, humiliation and persecution is the reason we must never give up on our country, Nigeria

“By raising His son, Jesus, God Himself has established and secured our hope for a better tomorrow.

“Therefore, in the spirit of Easter, we must let our hope in Nigeria be as alive as Jesus Christ,” Fayose said.

A related Easter message from Osun state former deputy governor, Senator Iyiola Omisore, urged Christians and Nigerians as a whole to continue to exhibit the spirit of love, peace and unity.

Omisore, who contested the lat Osun state governorship election urged Christians to use the season to always provide selfless service to humanity just as Christ demonstrated through his death and resurrection.

While noting that this period should also serve as a reminder of the selflessness, love, sacrifice and tolerance of Jesus Christ, he added that Nigerians must remain constant in their efforts to promote unity across all lines.
