Eden Hazard has been handed the award for the best player in the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League competition, Europe’s second most prestigious club competition.
The Belgium International was given the award for stirring Chelsea to a well deserved Europa league win.
Hazard was the London Blues pivot man last term, strring his side to a deserving win against Arsenal in the Baku finals where he found the net twice.
Chelsea beat their London rivals, Arsenal by a humiliating 4-1 scoreline with French striker Olivier Giroud and Pedro equally penning their name on the scoresheet.
The Belgian who is currently a Real Madrid player made four appearances in the competition, starting four, three of which came in the knockout stages of the competition.
The winger pipped teammate Olivier Giroud to the award as well as his present teammate in Luka Jovic who last season helped his side, Eintracht Frankfurt to an impressive semi-final run.

Hazard made a big money move to the Santiago Bernabeu following a spectacular season that saw him find the net on 21 occasions whilst recording as much as 17 assists in only 52 appearances across all competitions.
Chelsea who had an impressive run last term, added to lifting the Europa League title, made it to the finals of the Carabap Cup which they later lost to Manchester City on penalties. Added to that, they finished third place on the league standings.
The Belgian scored 110 goals and recorded 92 assists during his time at the Stamford Bridge and has been a key performer for the Blues ever since his move from Lille in 2012.
Since making his dream move to the Laliga to play as a Galactico, he has been hampered by injury and is still yet to make his debut in a competitive match for Madrid.
However, a huge responsibility rests on his shoulder as he is expected to fill into the boots of Cristiano Ronaldo who has been sorely missed to say the least.
