EFCC Reveals Picture of Port Harcourt Zonal Office, Dismisses Claim of A Twitter
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed the claim of a Twitter, @TheRealDayne who posted some pictures of some inmates kept in inhumane condition at what he said is the zonal office of the agency.
After several calls from the social media users to counter his claim by revealing picture of the office, the anti-graft agency finally revealed to show that it is a different building to the one posted by the user.
In the statement posted on Twitter, the agency said it’s structure doesn’t have an open air enclosure and not bordered by any building.

“PUBLIC NOTICE: Picture of the Port Harcourt Zonal Office Cell The picture in the foreground is the Holding facility at the Port Harcourt Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. It is not an open air enclosure and not bordered by any building.
“There is also no security wire mesh around the fence. This certainly has no resemblance to the fake picture put out in a tweet by @TheRealDayne.
“EFCC detention Centres subscribe to the best standard of care for inmates in line with global practice.
“If it were not so, suspects standing trial for corruption, would not prefer to be remanded in the custody of the Commission. Moreover, they would have challenged the Commission for rights violations. Further investigations will be carried out to ascertain the purveyor of this.”
