— EFCC makes statement on Zlatan’s release, reveals Naira Marley wasn’t released because of the overwhelming evidence against him.
Following Zlatan and others’ release from EFCC custody, many have wondered why Naira Marley wasn’t granted bail like the other 4.
EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade spoke with Premium Times and revealed that the Zlatan and co’s release is temporary and will report to the office for questioning every now and then while investigation goes on.
He also stated that Naira Marley wasn’t released because of the overwhelming evidence found against him.
“There is overwhelming Naira Marley; so we can’t afford to release him on bail like Zlatan and the three others.
That Zlatan has been released does not mean they have been discharged . Naira Marley is still in our custody and will be charged to court soon and we will make the charges known in an official statement soon.” Tony Orilade told Premium Times.
