Everton Vs Manchester City EPL 5 February Preview

Manchester City and Everton will be slugging it out at the Goodison Park in what could potentially move City temporarily to the top of the log. Pep led his side to a convincing 3-1 win over Arsenal in their last Premier league fixture while Everton lost by the same scoreline to Nuno Espirito Santos’ side, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Everton

Marco Silva has increasingly come under pressure following his side’s poor run which has seen them out of contention for Europa League Spot.

Indeed, the Toffees have won only two games in their last six and have won only five of their last sixteen.

Everton who have won just one of their nine Premier League games against clubs who top them in the log crashed out of the FA Cup after losing to Millwall despite boasting of 10 players who cost over 20 million in their ranks.

The Toffees have battled with set-pieces a lot this season – something particular about Marco Silva’s teams – and they will be looking to turn around their fortunes against a team who have that listed as one of their strengths.

Manchester City

The Citizens had a comfortable win over Arsenal with the genius of Pep Guardiola, the difference. Indeed, the Spanish gaffer known for his technical abilities moved Aymeric Laporte to left-back position and made Fernandinho play centre-back and defensive midfield roles all at once – one he performed well at.

Guardiola will be aware that he can’t afford a loss here and will be poised to lead his side to bag all available points.
