However, Goodchild  says even though he wants to spend his money on booze and women, he would not be entertaining gold diggers.

He says he would not spend his money on any woman he feels he couldn’t have landed if not for his money.

According to him, he is still the same man, nothing has changed except his pocket.

However, despite Goodchild’s turn-around in fortune, his ex-wives say they are not interested in him or his money.

Good child’s first wife Catherine Berkeley who met him at a pub when she was 19 says she wish him well and doesn’t want a dime of his money.

Berkeley and Goodchild had been married for 7 years between 1980 and 1987.

His second ex-wife, Susannah who he was married to for 23 years and had divorced only two years ago also said she doesn’t want a penny of his winning and that he can keep the lot.

Goodchild also revealed that before he wastes all his money on booze and women, he would go with his parents to buy a house.

He said:

Like all parents, they worry about my mortgage, bills and how long I will have to work for. I’ve told my parents they can stop saving now and spend my inheritance.

All in all, Goodchild said he wasn’t a stupid man.

In his words:

I’m certainly not a stupid man, but I have done stupid things, I think now I have learned from them and just put them all behind me.
